Delivery & Returns

DELIVERY TIMES & AVAILABILITY

The availability of all of our items is shown on each product page. Many of our items are of a bespoke nature and we need to allow for this when ordering.

Most items will be despatched from our UK studio, however, certain items will be shipped directly from the point of manufacture.  We aim at all times to keep delivery costs as low as possible but in recent months courier charges have increased significantly.

We offer the following delivery methods -

Royal Mail First Class
Royal Mail First Class - Signed For
Royal Mail Second Class
Royal Mail Second Class - Signed For

DHL Express - Next working day

We use Royal Mail for smaller items not exceeding 2.0kg whilst anything over this weight will be shipped by DHL.

 

DOMESTIC

We ship to the whole of the UK and Northern Ireland using the services described above.

 

INTERNATIONAL

Europe (EU, Norway and Switzerland)

Now that the UK is no longer in the EU, orders to Europe will be charged without UK VAT but customers in Europe will be invoiced for VAT at the rate applicable in their country by the courier.

Other Destinations

We only ship to North America (USA and Canada) and Australia for the time being.

Due to the volatility of overseas shipping costs, we reserve the right to cancel an order or to amend the order by consulting with the customer as to any increase in shipping charges over and above that paid at the time of check-out on our site.  This may apply, in particular, to heavy or bulky items such as baskets or large light fittings.  If the customer agrees to an increase in shipping cost, they will be invoiced for this separately and will need to pay this at the time of order.

 

LOSS & DAMAGE

To minimise the possibility of breakages all items will be wrapped securely for shipping. Goods lost or damaged in transit are fully insured by our shippers. If your parcel hasn't arrived within the specified time please contact us immediately on +44 (0) 1488 657900 or studio@nicholasengert.co.uk. If, for any reason, your order cannot be met or delivered within the specified time, we will contact you immediately to make alternative arrangements. If you have any questions or queries, or any specific delivery requirements (such as fast delivery within the UK), please let us know.

Goods that are damaged or any shortages should be notified to us in writing within 3 days of receipt.

RETURNS

You have a right to return your order under the distance selling regulations for any item purchased on a fixed priced sale for a full refund within seven days after receipt. However, you must take reasonable care of the item/s. Before making a return you must notify us in writing that you wish to make a return with the reason for doing so. You will be responsible for the shipping costs both to and from your address.

All parcels are sent back at your own risk. We would advise using recorded delivery as the parcel is not our responsibility until we sign for it.

The right to cancel or return for a refund does not apply to the following: “bespoke goods or goods made to a consumer's specification" - this includes all bespoke custom orders either placed on the website, by email or over the phone. The following items on our site are considered to be bespoke -

All light fittings and lampshades
Dhurrie rugs
Cashmere throws
All rush woven baskets

all of which are made to order.

NOTE - We will only accept the return of item/s if sent back in original unused condition; we reserve the right to reject items returned in an unsaleable condition, which includes any items smelling of smoke and items returned in unsuitable packaging.
