Study & Library Lighting

Our study and library lighting includes floor and table lamps from Lumina, Catellani & Smith and Davide Groppi, and Estro cordless lamps – focused, glare-free light for reading, writing and working, with designs that suit book-lined rooms.

Pair a good task lamp at the desk with softer background light to reduce eye strain. A floor lamp beside a reading chair and a picture light over a bookcase complete a well-lit library.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best lighting for a study?

An adjustable desk lamp for task light, plus soft background light from wall lights or a floor lamp, so the contrast between the desk and the room is not too great.

How do I light bookshelves?

Fit a picture light above the bookcase or use a floor lamp angled towards the shelves to light the spines evenly.

Do you have wall-mounted lamps for studies?

Yes. See our Wall-Mounted Reading Lights, including adjustable designs by Baulmann.
