Picture Lights

Picture lights cast a warm, focused glow onto paintings, prints and bookshelves, bringing them to life in the evening. Our collection includes the Cambridge 60 picture light by Mullan.

Choose a picture light roughly half to two-thirds the width of the frame and fit it so the light falls evenly across the picture. LED light sources give off little heat and are gentle on artwork.

Frequently asked questions

What size picture light do I need?

Choose a light roughly half to two-thirds the width of the frame; for large or tall pictures, choose the wider end of that range.

Are LED picture lights safe for paintings?

Yes. LED light sources produce very little heat or ultraviolet light, so they are gentler on artwork than older bulbs.

Can picture lights be used on bookshelves?

Yes. A picture light fixed above a bookcase lights the spines evenly and makes a handsome feature of a library wall.
