Wall-Mounted Reading Lights

A wall-mounted reading light puts a focused beam exactly on the page without taking up space on a bedside or side table. Our range includes round and square adjustable reading lights and flexible swan-neck lights from the German maker Baulmann, alongside Mullan's adjustable cone wall lights.

Fit one each side of a double bed so each person can read without disturbing the other, or beside a favourite armchair. Heads adjust to direct the light precisely, and finishes include dark bronze, silver, black, taupe and white.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best height for a bedside reading light?

Mount the light roughly 30–40cm above the top of the mattress, or just above shoulder height when sitting up, so the beam falls on the page rather than in your eyes.

Do wall-mounted reading lights need to be hard-wired?

Most are designed to be wired into the wall by an electrician. Check each product page for wiring and switch details, or ask our studio.

Which reading light is best for a double bed?

Fit a pair of adjustable lights, one each side, so each person can direct the beam onto their own book.
