Plain Fabrics

Our plain upholstery fabrics are woven in England by Nicholas Engert in wool, cotton, linen-cotton and cotton-linen – including the Clovelly, Lowestoft and Lynton plains and the Dawlish wool – in a wide palette of colours, graded for commercial or heavy domestic use.

Plains are the backbone of any scheme. Use them for upholstery and curtains, then add stripes, checks and tartans from the same palette. Their hard-wearing grades make them a practical choice for sofas, dining chairs and contract seating.
