Samuel Palmer was a British landscape painter, etcher, and printmaker. An Honorary Fellow of the Society of Painter-Etchers and a pivotal figure in British Romanticism, Palmer produced many visionary pastoral works. Influenced by William Blake, his most notable landscapes were inspired by the countryside around Shoreham in Kent, where he formed the group known as The Ancients. His art and writings reflect a deep spiritual connection with nature and imagination.
