Tessa Newcomb is the daughter of the artist Mary Newcomb and was born in Suffolk in 1955. She attended the Norwich School of Art from 1972 and received a BA Hons in Fine Art from Bath Academy of Art in 1976. Her paintings feature the Suffolk countryside and country events as she likes to record the world around her - gardens, the greenhouse, allotments - the latter as for her they present an array of abstract shapes, colours and textures.
