Seascape from the Beach, Aldeburgh by Thomas Churchyard
Thomas Churchyard was a Suffolk artist who trained as a solicitor and worked for many years in the law but found his real interest was in landscape painting. He was influenced by the works of Crome when he visited Norfolk and proceeded to develop his own style of natural landscapes. He also illustrated a book of botanical subjects with William Hooker who was later Director of Kew Gardens.
