The inspiration for this design comes from the Toromiro tree. Its only natural habitat was Easter Island, isolated in the South Pacific. However, it is now extinct there but still exists in a few botanical gardens around the world. In this interpretation of the tree the leaves are waving and the stem is wiggling over the surface.
This design is surface printed on non‑woven material with a pattern repeat of 53 cm, pattern matching half drop, roll length 10.05 m and width 53 cm.
This collection of wallpapers is printed by skilled artisans at the wallpaper manufacturer Ulricehamns Tapetfabrik in Sweden.
The backing material is non‑woven paper – a mixed material consisting of synthetic fibres and pulp. The combination makes the material form‑resistant and easy to use. The synthetic fibres come from recycled materials such as PET bottles, and the pulp from forests with FSC certification. Non‑woven has ÖK‑Tex Standard 100 certification.
