Samuel Peploe – Greetings Card
Samuel Peploe was a Scottish Post-Impressionist painter and a member of the group known as the Scottish Colourists. He trained in Paris and was influenced by the bold colours and brushwork of contemporary French painters. Peploe is best known for his still lifes and landscapes, marked by strong colour contrasts and compositional harmony. His works are considered some of the finest examples of modern Scottish painting and are highly prized by collectors today.
