John Tookey trained in Graphic Design and Fine Art at the Sir John Cass School of Art in London and then worked for many years as a graphic artist in various London advertising agencies before deciding to take up painting full time. He works in a variety of mediums but mainly in watercolour, oil and pastel. His watercolours are very striking and dynamic and sparkle with light.
